Job Description
Are you a compassionate, responsible, and energetic individual looking for a rewarding part-time Nanny position in Plano? College Nannies, Sitters + Tutors of Plano is seeking a dedicated Nanny to assist a wonderful local family with afternoon childcare. This role involves picking up children from school, engaging them in enriching activities, preparing light snacks, and ensuring a safe and positive home environment. The ideal candidate will be punctual, proactive, and have a genuine love for working with children. This is a consistent afternoon shift, perfect for someone seeking predictable hours and a meaningful connection with a family.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive, and engaging care for children during afternoon hours (3pm-6pm).
- Pick up children from school or activities and transport them home safely.
- Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
- Prepare healthy snacks and light meals.
- Organize and engage children in age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Maintain a tidy and organized play area and children's common spaces.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities and progress.
- Adhere to family's established routines and house rules.
- Handle any emergencies calmly and appropriately, following established protocols.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable childcare experience with children.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and responsible.
- Genuine love for children and ability to create a nurturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework or degree.
- Experience with multiple children.
- References from previous childcare positions.
- Ability to speak a second language (e.g., Spanish).
