Job Description
Are you handy with tools and eager to learn the basics of plumbing? Roto-Rooter in Sioux Falls is seeking a dedicated Tap & Washer Replacement Aide – Simple Plumbing Tasker to join our growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the skilled trades. You will work alongside experienced plumbers, assisting with fundamental tasks and gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. We value a strong work ethic and a desire to provide excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead plumbers with basic plumbing tasks, including the replacement of taps, washers, and other simple fixtures.
- Learn to identify common plumbing issues and solutions under supervision.
- Prepare work areas by gathering tools and materials, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, tools, and job sites.
- Provide clear and courteous communication with customers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during service calls.
- Transport equipment and supplies to and from job sites as needed.
Required Skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
