Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our critical operations team in Albuquerque, NM. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our advanced industrial logistics infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components within our facility, ensuring seamless operation of conveyors, sortation equipment, and other automated machinery. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment, including motors, motor control centers, sensors, and PLC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using various testing devices and schematics.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E).
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Required Skills
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience with industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of industrial wiring, conduit bending, and motor controls.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of electrical safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Experience with specific PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Previous experience in a logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment.
