Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shopify Operations Manager with a strong focus on Supply Chain to join our team in Montreal. This role is crucial for optimizing our e-commerce operations, ensuring seamless product flow from supplier to customer, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our Shopify-powered online stores. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Shopify’s platform capabilities, advanced supply chain principles, and a proven track record in managing and improving operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize all aspects of Shopify store operations, including product listings, inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer service integration.
- Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery times for all Shopify-driven sales channels.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and third-party warehousing to ensure optimal performance and adherence to service level agreements.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, customs procedures, and internal operational policies.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align operational capabilities with business goals and new product launches.
- Implement and manage Shopify apps and integrations to streamline workflows and enhance operational functionalities.
- Train and mentor team members on Shopify best practices and supply chain management principles.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in e-commerce operations or supply chain management, with a significant focus on the Shopify platform.
- Proven expertise in Shopify admin, app ecosystem, and third-party integrations.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize operations.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems integration with Shopify.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations.
- Experience working in a rapidly growing or scale-up e-commerce environment.
