Job Description
As a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst at Concentrix, you will play a crucial role in our remote Security Operations Center (SOC). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cybersecurity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, detecting and analyzing potential threats, and assisting in incident response activities. This 100% remote position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles. You will work closely with senior analysts to enhance our security posture and protect Concentrix’s digital assets and client data.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts from various security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS).
- Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents to determine their severity and impact.
- Collect and analyze data to identify potential security breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, following established procedures.
- Document security incidents, findings, and resolutions thoroughly.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security monitoring and incident response processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and training programs.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and attacks.
- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and network security.
- Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and common applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Previous experience in a SOC environment or an IT support role.
