Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to join our culinary team immediately. This entry-level position is crucial to the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are clean and ready for use. Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Store clean equipment in appropriate areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area and kitchen back-of-house.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Remove trash and recycling, and maintain cleanliness of waste areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Support kitchen staff with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
- Current Washington State Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
