Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Drumstick Sanding Operative to join our woodworking facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise sanding and finishing of wooden drumsticks, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various sanding machines and hand tools to smooth and shape wooden drumsticks according to established specifications.
  • Inspect unfinished drumsticks for defects, knots, or irregularities prior to sanding.
  • Monitor the sanding process to ensure consistent quality and prevent over-sanding or damage.
  • Perform quality checks on finished drumsticks, measuring dimensions and verifying surface smoothness.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or material imperfections to the supervisor.
  • Assist with other general production tasks as needed within the woodworking facility.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Basic understanding of woodworking tools and machinery (training provided).
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
