Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neurology Specialist to join our dynamic team in Denver, Colorado. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an internationally trained physician to practice cutting-edge neurology in a world-class healthcare system. The ideal candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of neurological conditions, contribute to our research initiatives, and participate in continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neurological consultations, evaluations, and follow-up care for patients with various neurological disorders.
- Diagnose and treat conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, headaches, and neuropathies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including MRI, CT scans, EEGs, and EMGs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to other specialists or therapies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and emergency neurological consultations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Contribute to medical education and research activities within the department and organization.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Neurology.
- Completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Colorado (with sponsorship support).
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty of neurology (e.g., Stroke, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders).
- Experience in an academic medical center or large hospital system.
- Prior experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
