Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Virtual E-commerce Support Representative to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Nigeria. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing exceptional support and guidance to ensure a seamless online shopping experience. You will assist shoppers with inquiries, order tracking, product information, and resolve any issues they may encounter, all from the comfort of your home office. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and are eager to learn and grow with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate customer support via chat, email, and phone.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, order placement, tracking, and returns.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and effectively, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service.
  • Document customer interactions and resolutions accurately in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with Jumia's products, services, and policies.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in using e-commerce platforms and customer support software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with customer inquiries.
  • Basic computer literacy and reliable internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or support role (e-commerce preferred).
  • Familiarity with Jumia's platform and services.
  • Ability to speak multiple Nigerian languages is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college experience is a bonus.
