Job Description
Join our team as a Foreclosed Home Trash-Out Laborer. You will be responsible for clearing out properties that have been foreclosed, ensuring they are empty, clean, and ready for market or further preservation. This role requires physical stamina, reliability, and attention to detail. You will be working independently or as part of a small team to remove debris, furniture, personal belongings, and trash from residential properties. Safety protocols must be strictly followed, and all items disposed of or stored according to company guidelines. This is a critical role in the property preservation process, contributing to community revitalization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough trash-out services, removing all unwanted items from foreclosed properties.
- Load and unload items onto trucks for proper disposal or storage, adhering to environmental regulations.
- Clean properties post-removal, including sweeping, light dusting, and preparing for future services.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Document work completed, including before and after photos, as required by company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job status, challenges, and completion timelines.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., brooms, shovels, dollies).
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Physical stamina and endurance for demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Lancaster area.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and willingness to follow instructions diligently.
- Attention to detail to ensure properties are thoroughly cleared and maintained.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in general labor, construction, landscaping, or property maintenance.
- Familiarity with waste disposal procedures and recycling guidelines.
- Ability to operate a dump trailer or similar equipment.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
