Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sustainability Aide to join our Green Initiatives team in Portland, OR. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about environmental sustainability and eager to kickstart their career with a global leader. You will play a crucial role in supporting various sustainability projects, helping us track our progress, implement new initiatives, and communicate our environmental goals. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of environmental data (e.g., energy consumption, waste generation, emissions).
- Support the implementation of new sustainability programs and initiatives across various departments.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other communication materials on sustainability performance and projects.
- Conduct research on best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in environmental sustainability.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of green projects.
- Help organize internal awareness campaigns and employee engagement activities related to sustainability.
- Maintain documentation and records for compliance and reporting purposes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated passion for environmental issues and corporate sustainability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or volunteer experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with environmental management systems or sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB).
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Understanding of the entertainment industry's environmental challenges and opportunities.
- Experience with project coordination or event planning.
