Job Description

Join AccentCare as a Home Health Aide in a dynamic, team-based support environment, where your compassion and skills will directly impact the well-being of our patients. In this role, you will provide essential personal care, assist with daily living activities, and offer companionship, all while being an integral part of a supportive care team. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as per care plan.
  • Perform light household duties essential to the patient's health, such as tidying living areas and laundry.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals, adhering to dietary restrictions.
  • Assist with medication reminders and documentation, ensuring patient adherence.
  • Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Accurately document services provided and patient observations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other care team members.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program and current certification (if applicable by state).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
  • Ability to perform duties independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of patient care principles and hygiene practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
