Job Description
Join AccentCare as a Home Health Aide in a dynamic, team-based support environment, where your compassion and skills will directly impact the well-being of our patients. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as per care plan.
- Perform light household duties essential to the patient's health, such as tidying living areas and laundry.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Assist with medication reminders and documentation, ensuring patient adherence.
- Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Accurately document services provided and patient observations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other care team members.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program and current certification (if applicable by state).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to perform duties independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of patient care principles and hygiene practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
