Job Description
Cineplex is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Part-time Theater Usher in Abbotsford. As a Theater Usher, you will be the face of our cinema, ensuring our guests have a clean, safe, and enjoyable movie-going experience. This role involves working evenings and matinees, perfect for those seeking flexible hours. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness of the auditoriums, assisting guests with seating, and responding to their inquiries with a friendly and helpful attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating and general inquiries.
- Ensure all auditoriums and common areas are clean and tidy before, during, and after screenings.
- Inspect auditoriums for lost and found items after each show.
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all patrons.
- Enforce cinema policies, including age restrictions for movies.
- Assist with crowd control and emergency procedures if necessary.
- Support other cinema operations as needed, working collaboratively with the team.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role is an asset.

- Basic knowledge of cash handling (may be required for concession support).
