Job Description

Are you looking for a flexible opportunity to earn income while providing an essential service? Purolator is seeking dedicated and reliable Package Return Handlers to join our Calgary team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking up packages directly from residential homes for return or onward shipment. This position offers flexible hours, making it perfect for those seeking a work-life balance or supplemental income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently to pick up packages from residential addresses.
  • Verify package information, scan items using a handheld device, and ensure accurate tracking.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers during pick-up operations.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules, adapting to changes as necessary.
  • Safely load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg) repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in delivery, courier, or logistics roles.
  • Familiarity with Calgary and surrounding areas.
  • Proficiency with handheld scanning devices and GPS systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
