Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Upstream Field Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Shawnee, Kansas. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to embark on a management career path within the upstream oil and gas sector. You will play a crucial role in supporting our field operations, ensuring seamless coordination between various teams, and contributing to the efficient execution of projects. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and a clear trajectory for professional growth within BP’s global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of daily field activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics for upstream projects.
- Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators, and identify potential issues or delays.
- Liaise with field personnel, contractors, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of field operations, equipment utilization, and material inventories.
- Support the implementation and adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in operational planning meetings and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.
- Conduct site visits as needed to observe operations and provide on-the-ground support.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management on operational status and performance.
- Assist in the procurement process for field-related materials and services.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or co-op experience in the energy sector or a related industrial environment.

- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
