Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and highly accurate Inventory Hand to join our FedEx Ground team in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and integrity of our package handling operations. You will be responsible for precise inventory management, ensuring that all packages are accounted for and correctly sorted, often working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately scan, sort, and organize packages according to established procedures.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Load and unload packages from trailers and conveyors, utilizing appropriate equipment.
  • Inspect packages for damage and report any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed (training provided).
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and twist for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control setting.
  • Experience with scanning technology or inventory management systems.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
