Job Description
Are you looking for a hands-on, outdoor, part-time seasonal role this summer? Leslie’s Pool Supplies in Stamford, CT is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-time Pool Tech Trainees. This entry-level position is perfect for those eager to learn the fundamentals of pool maintenance and service, working primarily on weekends throughout the summer season. You will gain valuable skills, contribute to customer satisfaction, and enjoy the satisfaction of working outdoors. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced Pool Technicians with routine pool cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Learn and apply proper techniques for testing water chemistry and adding necessary chemicals.
- Clean pool surfaces, skim debris, brush walls, and vacuum pools.
- Inspect and maintain pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters, under supervision.
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments to pool equipment as directed.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and chemicals used.
- Communicate effectively with customers, answering basic questions and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in outdoor work or customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
