Job Description

Are you an early riser with a passion for hospitality? Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Server to join our team. This unique role offers the advantage of early morning shifts, typically starting at 6 AM, allowing you to have your afternoons free to pursue personal interests, education, or simply enjoy the city. You will be responsible for providing outstanding service to our breakfast guests, ensuring a delightful start to their day. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus promptly.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve breakfast dishes and beverages with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to special requests or concerns.
  • Ensure tables are set properly, clean, and well-maintained throughout service.
  • Process guest payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other service team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Positive attitude and a team player mindset.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a server in a hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Fluency in French and English (bilingualism is a strong asset in Montreal).
  • Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
  • Food handler's certification.
