Job Description
Are you an early riser with a passion for hospitality? Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Server to join our team. This unique role offers the advantage of early morning shifts, typically starting at 6 AM, allowing you to have your afternoons free to pursue personal interests, education, or simply enjoy the city. You will be responsible for providing outstanding service to our breakfast guests, ensuring a delightful start to their day. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus promptly.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve breakfast dishes and beverages with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to special requests or concerns.
- Ensure tables are set properly, clean, and well-maintained throughout service.
- Process guest payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other service team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Positive attitude and a team player mindset.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server in a hotel or fine dining establishment.
- Fluency in French and English (bilingualism is a strong asset in Montreal).
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Food handler's certification.
