Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Provide medication reminders as directed by supervising nurse or care plan.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's health status or behavior to the care team.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in accordance with BayCare policies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Required Skills
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in Florida
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Home Health Aide
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Knowledge of basic first aid
- Ability to adapt to various home environments and patient needs
- High school diploma or GED
