Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and high-energy individuals to join our team as a Poolside Guest Host for the upcoming summer season. This temporary role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is committed to delivering outstanding guest service. As a Poolside Guest Host, you will be the face of our recreational area, ensuring all guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience by the pool. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will contribute significantly to our resort’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests entering the poolside area and assist them with seating and towel service.
- Monitor the pool area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to all hotel policies and procedures.
- Proactively engage with guests to anticipate needs, answer questions, and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Assist with setting up and tidying lounge chairs, umbrellas, and other poolside furniture.
- Distribute and collect pool towels, ensuring an adequate supply is always available.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or requests efficiently and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with minor first aid incidents and emergency procedures if required (training provided).
- Maintain a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Support special poolside events and activities as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- High level of energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Proficiency in English
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, throughout the summer season.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a guest-facing role
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of multiple languages
