Job Description

Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Game Tester to join our Quality Assurance team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the high quality and playability of our upcoming titles. You will be responsible for meticulously testing games, identifying bugs, glitches, and usability issues, and providing comprehensive feedback to our development teams. This is a full-time position that includes paid vacation and sick leave, offering a stable career path in the exciting world of interactive entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and test cases thoroughly to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in game functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Document bugs and issues clearly and concisely using our internal tracking tools, including steps to reproduce, severity, and impact.
  • Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure previously identified issues remain resolved.
  • Provide constructive feedback on game design, playability, and overall user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and producers to understand game features and testing requirements.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and upcoming tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, game mechanics, and new technologies to enhance testing effectiveness.

  • Strong passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to identify and describe software bugs clearly and accurately.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with common operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a quality assurance or testing role (professional or voluntary).
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Understanding of the game development life cycle.
