Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Music Booking Agent to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for an ambitious individual with a passion for live music and a talent for negotiation and relationship building. As a Booking Agent, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing performance opportunities for a diverse roster of musical acts across various genres and venues. This is a commission-based role with significant earning potential, offering the flexibility of Work From Home (WFH) options.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate relationships with venues, promoters, festivals, and corporate clients to secure booking opportunities.
- Actively research and scout emerging and established musical talent to expand our artist roster.
- Negotiate and finalize booking contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both artists and the company.
- Manage artist schedules, logistics, and technical riders in coordination with management and production teams.
- Develop and execute strategic booking plans to maximize artist exposure and revenue.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of contacts, bookings, and artist information.
- Represent the company and artists professionally at industry events, showcases, and conferences.
- Provide regular reports on booking activities, sales performance, and market trends.
- Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote artist performances.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in music booking, talent management, or a related field (minimum 3 years).
- Strong negotiation and sales skills with a track record of achieving targets.
- Extensive knowledge of the music industry, including genres, venues, and market trends.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, commission-driven environment.
- Flexibility to travel as required for meetings, events, and artist support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Arts Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Existing network of contacts within the music industry (venues, promoters, artists).
- Experience with international booking and touring.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and nurture new talent.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
