Job Description
Join our dedicated agricultural team at Leckford Estate as an Asparagus Picker. This temporary, seasonal role is perfect for early risers who enjoy working outdoors and appreciate having their afternoons free. You will be responsible for carefully harvesting asparagus spears during peak season, ensuring the highest quality produce for Waitrose stores. This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully hand-picking asparagus spears at the correct maturity.
- Working efficiently and safely within a team environment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area throughout shifts.
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations and guidelines.
- Reporting any issues with crop quality, pests, or equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Following early morning shift schedules consistently and punctually.
