Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Digital Asset Manager with a dedicated focus on the Netflix Media Library. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient organization, preservation, and accessibility of all digital assets related to Netflix productions, marketing materials, and archival content. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous organizer, possess strong technical skills, and have a deep understanding of media workflows and metadata standards. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and discoverability of our vast content catalog, supporting various departments from production to legal, and contributing to the seamless delivery of entertainment globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of digital assets within the Netflix Media Library, including ingestion, categorization, metadata tagging, storage, retrieval, and archiving.
- Implement and enforce digital asset management best practices, policies, and workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with production, post-production, marketing, legal, and engineering teams to understand asset requirements and facilitate their access.
- Maintain accurate metadata for all assets, including rights information, usage restrictions, and version control.
- Oversee quality control of incoming assets, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and brand guidelines.
- Provide training and support to internal users on the DAM system functionality and best practices.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new DAM tools, technologies, and system enhancements.
- Monitor asset usage, performance, and storage, reporting on key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with legal and intellectual property requirements for all managed assets.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Digital Asset Management, preferably within a media or entertainment company.
- Proficiency with major Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and content management platforms.
- Strong understanding of media file formats, codecs, and technical specifications (video, audio, image).
- Excellent knowledge of metadata standards and taxonomies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to asset ingestion, transcoding, and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Technology, Film/Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based DAM solutions.
- Familiarity with intellectual property rights and licensing processes in the entertainment industry.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Experience working with international teams and understanding global content workflows.
