Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant to join our vibrant daycare center in Henderson, Nevada. This is an exciting ‘career path’ opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education, offering comprehensive training and development towards becoming a lead educator. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their developmental journey alongside our experienced team. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily educational programs and activities.
  • Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Observe and document children's progress and behavior under the guidance of lead educators.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, parents, and staff.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, diapering, and toilet training as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.
  • Adhere to all licensing requirements and company policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Genuine love for children and passion for their development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and engage in active play with children

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (paid or volunteer) in a childcare setting or working with children
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field
