Job Description
Are you passionate about sustainable food production and eager to contribute to the future of farming? Infarm is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Vertical Farm Picker. This entry-level role is crucial to our operations, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our vertical farm in Horsham. You will be at the forefront of harvesting fresh produce, maintaining a sterile growing environment, and contributing to a greener future. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick and harvest a variety of crops according to established protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor crop health and report any anomalies to the farm management team.
- Assist with the planting and transplanting of seedlings.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the growing environment and equipment.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety guidelines.
- Operate basic farm equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Package harvested produce for distribution.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or farming environment (even non-vertical farming).
- Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
