Job Description
Join Allied Universal as an Entry Level Midstream Guard with a focus on securing critical energy infrastructure facilities. This role is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in security, offering comprehensive training and opportunities for advancement. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at a midstream energy facility, controlling access, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to incidents. This is an essential on-site position vital for protecting valuable assets and ensuring operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned secure midstream facility premises, both on foot and via vehicle.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access or activity.
- Control access to the facility, verifying credentials for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Collaborate with facility management and local law enforcement when necessary.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure a secure environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain or possess a valid California Guard Card (BSIS).
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and monitoring systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Familiarity with midstream oil and gas operations or industrial security.
- Customer service experience.
