Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Backend Engineer with expertise in Java and Spring Boot to join our innovative team in Alexandria, Egypt. This role is crucial for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the robust backend systems that power our next-generation telecommunication services and digital products. You will be instrumental in designing scalable, high-performance, and secure solutions, working within an agile framework to deliver exceptional user experiences. A full relocation package is offered to qualified candidates to facilitate a smooth transition to Alexandria.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-volume, low-latency applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices and design patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers.
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and testing.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration with various services.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technology roadmaps.
- Ensure security, reliability, and performance of applications.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java and strong understanding of its ecosystem.
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
- Familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
