Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and data-focused Knowledge Graph Associate to join our innovative team. This role is crucial for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our knowledge graph systems, with a strong emphasis on data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. You will ensure the integrity and usability of complex datasets, working closely with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts to build robust knowledge representations that drive intelligent solutions for our clients. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data modeling and schema design for knowledge graph structures.
- Develop and implement robust ETL pipelines to ingest diverse data sources into the knowledge graph.
- Ensure high data quality, consistency, and accuracy within the knowledge graph through rigorous validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective graph structures.
- Assist in the development of sophisticated query patterns and semantic reasoning rules.
- Monitor knowledge graph performance and optimize data retrieval processes for efficiency.
- Document data models, processes, and best practices to maintain comprehensive knowledge repositories.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in knowledge graphs, semantic web, and data management.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data manipulation and querying languages (e.g., SQL, SPARQL, Cypher).
- Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
- Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote, collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex data concepts to various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, AllegroGraph, Stardog, or other RDF stores).
- Understanding of semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, RDFS).
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data enrichment and entity resolution.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Previous experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks.
