Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our dynamic Anesthesiology team. You will play a critical role in providing comprehensive anesthesia care to a diverse patient population undergoing a wide range of surgical and diagnostic procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of patients, including obtaining informed consent for anesthesia.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia, as well as sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs, physiological responses, and anesthesia depth throughout the perioperative period.
- Manage patient airways, ventilation, and fluid balance.
- Respond to emergencies, adverse reactions, and complications related to anesthesia.
- Collaborate effectively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document all aspects of anesthesia care accurately and completely in electronic health records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain expertise.
Required Skills
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the NBCRNA.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado (or eligible for licensure).
- Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Colorado (or eligible for licensure).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or academic medical center setting.
- Previous experience with a wide variety of surgical specialties (e.g., cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, trauma).
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
