Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Dealership Valeter to join our team in Glasgow. This role is crucial in ensuring that all vehicles, whether new, used, or serviced, meet our exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and presentation before they are handed over to our customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is looking for stable, ongoing employment with a leading automotive group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning and detailing of new and used vehicles to showroom standards.
  • Wash, vacuum, polish, and wax vehicle exteriors and interiors, ensuring all surfaces are pristine.
  • Apply protective treatments to vehicle paintwork and upholstery.
  • Inspect vehicles for any remaining dirt or damage before customer handover.
  • Move vehicles safely around the dealership premises as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised valeting bay, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to management.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and dealership procedures.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently and to a high standard under minimal supervision.
  • A full, clean UK driving license is essential for moving vehicles.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a valeting or detailing role within a dealership or automotive environment.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning products and techniques for different vehicle surfaces.
  • Experience operating valeting equipment.
  • A passion for cars and maintaining their appearance.
