Job Description
Are you eager to launch a rewarding career in healthcare? Konikoff Dentistry is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant Trainee to join our vibrant team at our Great Bridge clinic. This is an unparalleled opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience in dentistry to gain essential skills and become a certified dental assistant through our comprehensive, paid certification program. We are looking for someone passionate about patient care, dedicated to learning, and ready to contribute to a positive clinic environment. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced dental professionals, learning hands-on aspects of dental procedures, patient management, and clinic operations, all while advancing your career with our full support.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist licensed Dental Assistants and Dentists during various dental procedures.
- Learn to prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict infection control protocols.
- Observe and practice taking and developing dental X-rays.
- Assist with patient preparation, seating, and post-treatment instructions.
- Learn to maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
- Understand and practice chairside assisting techniques for general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment.
- Actively participate in paid certification courses and training sessions.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the dental field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service or a patient-facing role.
- Familiarity with medical or dental terminology (a plus, but not required).
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions accurately.
