Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Direct Dispatch Picker to join our fast-paced fulfillment team in Hanley. This is a 100% direct hire position; you will be an integral part of the Amazon family from day one, not an agency worker. As a Direct Dispatch Picker, you will play a crucial role in preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You’ll be responsible for picking items from shelves, scanning them, and preparing them for the next stage of the dispatch process. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick items from designated storage locations based on customer orders.
- Utilize handheld scanners to track inventory and update system records.
- Prepare picked items for packing and shipping, adhering to packaging guidelines.
- Ensure all items are checked for quality and damage before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying packages up to 15 kg.
- Basic English communication skills (reading and speaking).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety guidelines and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment.
- Experience with handheld scanning devices or inventory management systems.
