Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Breakfast Porter to join our dedicated team at Hilton in Derry/Londonderry. This crucial role ensures our guests start their day with an impeccable breakfast experience. You will be responsible for the efficient setup, maintenance, and clearing of our breakfast area, ensuring all items are well-stocked and presented to the highest standards. This is an early morning role, perfect for someone who enjoys getting their work done before lunch, with shifts typically starting at 6 am and finishing by noon.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently set up and prepare the breakfast buffet and dining areas prior to service.
- Replenish food, beverage, and service items throughout breakfast service, ensuring availability and presentation.
- Assist guests with inquiries and special requests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the breakfast area and kitchen.
- Transport food, beverage, and equipment deliveries from storage to the breakfast area.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Support the breakfast team in all aspects of daily operations to ensure a smooth service.
- Maintain a polite and helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts, starting at 6 am.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
