Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to designated locations along an assigned route.
- Accurately load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring their integrity and security throughout the delivery process.
- Deliver packages to a diverse range of residential and business customers, adhering to specified delivery times.
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain precise and organized records of all deliveries, pick-ups, and daily vehicle logs.
- Provide professional, courteous, and helpful customer service during all interactions with recipients.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
Required Skills
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 150 lbs (with assistance as needed).
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to manage a demanding delivery schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and navigate efficiently using mapping tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in delivery, courier, or professional driving roles.
- Familiarity with operating commercial vehicles (e.g., vans, box trucks).
- Extensive knowledge of routes and geographic areas within Columbus, OH.
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service-oriented environment.
