Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first step into the exciting world of hospitality? The Liberty Tavern is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as a Greet & Seat Host. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn the ropes of restaurant operations, gain valuable customer service skills, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. You’ll be the first point of contact, setting the tone for their visit with your warm welcome and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all incoming guests with a friendly demeanor and a welcoming smile.
- Accurately manage the seating chart and guest waitlist using our reservation system.
- Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and ensuring a comfortable setup.
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide accurate information about the restaurant.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Anticipate guest needs and offer proactive assistance when possible.
- Manage guest expectations regarding wait times and seating availability.
- Support the service team by running food or bussing tables during peak hours if needed.
