Job Description
Are you looking for a stable night shift position with excellent pay and comprehensive training? GDI Integrated Facility Services is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Industrial Cleaners in Amherstburg, Ontario. This is an incredible opportunity for motivated individuals who are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in an industrial environment, regardless of prior experience. We provide full, on-the-job training to ensure your success. As an Industrial Cleaner on the night shift, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are spotless and safe for all operations. Your commitment to detail and a strong work ethic will be highly valued and rewarded with premium pay rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of industrial cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors.
- Operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, offices, and production areas.
- Emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins.
- Restocking supplies as needed.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks during an entire shift.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or industrial environment is an asset, but not required as full training is provided.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage.
- First Aid and WHMIS certification (training can be provided).
