Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Downstream Specialist to join our dynamic team in Irvine, CA. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers and specialists in analyzing refinery process data and operational performance.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives and debottlenecking projects.
  • Participate in the review of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to refinery units.
  • Conduct field observations and data collection to support project analysis and problem-solving.
  • Learn and apply industry best practices for safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Fundamental understanding of chemical engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated interest in the oil and gas or energy industry.

Preferred Qualifications
