Job Description
Join BrightView Landscapes as a Landscaping Laborer and become an essential part of our dedicated team in Virginia Beach. We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to contribute to creating and maintaining stunning outdoor spaces. This role offers a high hourly rate for consistent, local projects, providing stability and the opportunity to work outdoors and make a tangible impact on our community’s appearance. No prior experience is required; we value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow with us. You’ll gain valuable skills in a supportive environment, working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various landscaping tasks including mowing, weeding, planting, trimming, and pruning.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the installation of new landscape features, including sod, mulch, plants, and irrigation systems.
- Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards and according to project specifications.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or general labor.
- Familiarity with common landscaping tools and equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
