Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented and trustworthy Document Controller to join our team in London. This critical role involves managing, organizing, and safeguarding highly confidential documents related to our content production, legal, and strategic operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining absolute discretion and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of sensitive information while adhering to stringent compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project-related documents, ensuring accuracy, quality, and version control.
- Implement and enforce document control procedures and policies to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Control the flow of documents both internally and externally, ensuring timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
- Archive and retrieve documents efficiently and securely, both physical and digital.
- Assist in developing and improving document management systems and processes.
- Conduct regular audits of documents to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Support teams with document formatting, numbering, and naming conventions.
- Provide training and support to staff on document control procedures.
- Collaborate with legal, production, and executive teams to ensure documentation meets project requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, preferably in a fast-paced, high-confidentiality environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Strong understanding of document control principles and best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion and integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
- Experience within the entertainment, media, or legal industries.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, intellectual property).
- Certification in Document Control or Information Management.
