Job Description
Are you a compassionate and energetic individual with a passion for childcare? The Wellington Agency is seeking a dedicated Part-time Junior Nanny to support a busy family in New Port Richey, Florida, specifically focused on weekend mother’s helper duties. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive and structured home environment, assisting with the care of two school-aged children (ages 6 and 9). The role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for nurturing children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging childcare for two children during weekend hours (typically Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings).
- Assist the mother with various tasks, including light meal preparation for children, tidying play areas, and organizing children's belongings.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including creative play, outdoor adventures, and educational games.
- Supervise homework and assist with school projects as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Assist with bath time routines and preparing children for bed.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's activities, progress, and any concerns.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (personal or professional) working with children, preferably school-aged.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Patient, kind, and nurturing demeanor.
- Ability to plan and execute engaging activities for children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
