Job Description
We are seeking a kind, energetic, and responsible Part-time Nanny (Junior) to serve as a Mother’s Helper for a loving family in Palmdale, CA. This role is primarily focused on weekend support, helping the mother manage the children’s activities and daily routines. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in childcare within a supportive family environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about engaging with children, proactive in assisting with household tasks related to the children, and eager to contribute positively to the family’s weekend dynamic.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the mother with supervision and care of children during weekend hours.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, play, and learning.
- Help with light meal preparation and snacks for children.
- Support children with homework or educational activities as needed.
- Assist with tidying up play areas and children's rooms.
- Provide reliable and consistent support every weekend.
- Communicate effectively with the mother regarding children's needs and daily activities.
Required Skills
- Patience and a genuine love for children.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
- Basic understanding of child safety and first aid principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or as a mother's helper (even informal).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
