Job Description

Join the INTEGRIS Health team as a Patient Transport Aide specializing in non-emergency services. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients using appropriate equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds, to and from various hospital departments.
  • Assist patients with safe transfers to and from transport equipment, ensuring proper body mechanics and patient security.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, their families, and medical staff to coordinate transport and address any concerns.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of transport equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  • Respond promptly to transport requests and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet hospital needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and patient privacy (HIPAA) regulations.
  • Provide empathetic support and reassurance to patients during their transport experience.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to push, pull, lift, and maneuver patients and equipment throughout shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (training available upon hire).
