Job Description
Are you a strong, reliable, and customer-focused individual looking for an active role? Two Men and a Truck in Ottawa is seeking Heavy Lifting Helpers to join our dedicated moving and delivery support team. In this role, you will be crucial in assisting with the safe and efficient transportation of household goods and commercial items. This is a physically demanding yet rewarding position that requires a positive attitude, excellent teamwork, and a commitment to protecting customer belongings.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items onto and off moving trucks.
- Pack and unpack items with care, ensuring protection against damage during transit.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
- Navigate stairs, tight spaces, and challenging environments while moving heavy objects.
- Assist drivers with pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with clients at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete moves on schedule.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly and for extended periods.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
