Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to join our team in Mississauga. This is a stable, full-time position offering consistent Monday-Friday hours and excellent health benefits. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and direct them to the appropriate pharmacy staff or sections.
  • Process prescription pick-ups and over-the-counter purchases accurately.
  • Handle cash and debit/credit transactions using a point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area, including shelving and display units.
  • Manage inventory, including stocking shelves and rotating products.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls.
  • Ensure all customer inquiries are handled with professionalism and discretion.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality (PIPEDA).
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and pharmacy assistants to optimize workflow.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations or medical terminology.
  • Experience with inventory management.
  • First aid and CPR certification is an asset.
