Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Orem, Utah. This is an immediate opening for a Full-Time position, offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus to qualified candidates. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with various tasks, ensuring efficient pharmacy operations, and providing exceptional customer service. Your work will directly contribute to patient well-being by accurately preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and handling administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system.
- Process insurance claims and resolve basic payment issues.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions and addressing concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Assist with the compounding of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Active state Pharmacy Technician license/registration in Utah
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and pharmacy software
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
- Experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)
