Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Route Map Verifier to join our Navigation App Support team in Brighton. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our mapping data, directly impacting the user experience of millions. You will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and correcting map routes and navigation information within our leading navigation applications. This position is ideal for someone with excellent geographical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a passion for technology and user satisfaction. Your contributions will help us maintain the high standard of precision our users expect from our navigation products.
Key Responsibilities
- Rigorously verify existing map routes and navigation instructions against real-world data and user feedback.
- Identify and report discrepancies, errors, and outdated information within the navigation application.
- Test new map features and routing algorithms for accuracy and usability.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product managers to provide feedback on map data quality and tooling.
- Assist in resolving user-reported issues related to navigation and route accuracy.
- Stay updated on geographical changes and urban development within designated verification areas.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our mapping data and verification processes.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong geographical knowledge, particularly of the UK road network and local areas.
- Proficiency in using web-based mapping and navigation applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
