Job Description
Join Lululemon’s dynamic and globally distributed tech team as a Shopify Developer. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our world-class e-commerce platform, playing a crucial role in enhancing the online experience for millions of guests worldwide. You will be instrumental in developing custom themes, integrating third-party applications, and ensuring the seamless operation of our Shopify Plus store. We are looking for a collaborative individual who thrives in a remote-first environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable e-commerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy custom Shopify themes and sections using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Integrate and configure third-party Shopify apps and APIs to extend platform functionality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect Shopify experiences.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, scalability, and conversion across all devices.
- Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain high code quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Shopify platform, themes, and integrated applications.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and emerging web technologies.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with Shopify theme development (Shopify Plus preferred).
- Proficiency in Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Strong understanding of Shopify's API and integration best practices.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Headless Shopify implementations (e.g., using React, Next.js, or similar frameworks).
- Familiarity with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with e-commerce analytics and A/B testing tools.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and SEO best practices.
- Certification in Shopify development or related e-commerce platforms.
