Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Shopify Developer with a strong focus on Shopify Plus to join our dynamic team in Sherbrooke, Quebec. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, customizing, and maintaining advanced Shopify Plus e-commerce solutions for our diverse client portfolio. A critical aspect of this position involves providing expert guidance and support for Shopify Plus certification processes, ensuring our internal team members and client projects adhere to best practices and achieve certified excellence. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing online stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify Plus themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and apps to meet client requirements.
- Implement and integrate third-party services, APIs, and tools to enhance e-commerce functionality.
- Optimize website performance for speed, scalability, and user experience.
- Provide expert support and mentorship for Shopify Plus certification, guiding team members through best practices and requirements.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and maintain high-quality codebases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Shopify Plus stores and integrations.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and QA testers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, trends, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Extensive experience with Shopify Plus development, including custom app development and API integrations.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices and conversion optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shopify Plus Developer Certification (or demonstrable experience equivalent to achieving it).
- Experience with headless commerce architectures.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
- Familiarity with GraphQL APIs.
- Previous experience in a client-facing or agency environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
