Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Digital Archivist with a strong focus on historical data to join our remote team at Teleperformance. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the digital preservation, organization, and accessibility of our extensive historical records and digital assets. This includes developing and implementing strategies for long-term digital storage, ensuring data integrity, managing metadata, and facilitating access for various internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of archival principles, digital preservation techniques, and excellent project management skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage digital preservation policies and procedures for historical data.
  • Oversee the ingestion, cataloging, and indexing of digital assets into archival systems.
  • Ensure the integrity, authenticity, and accessibility of historical digital records.
  • Create and manage metadata standards to enhance discoverability and usability of archived materials.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks on digital archives to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to select and maintain appropriate hardware and software for digital preservation.
  • Provide training and support to staff on digital archiving best practices and system usage.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies in digital archiving.
  • Respond to requests for historical data, ensuring secure and authorized access.
  • Contribute to the development of disaster recovery plans for digital assets.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital archiving, data management, or library sciences.
  • Proven experience with digital preservation systems and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of archival standards, principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in metadata standards (e.g., Dublin Core, MODS, EAD).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Archival Studies, Library and Information Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with large-scale digital migration projects.
  • Familiarity with various database systems and content management platforms.
  • Knowledge of data security protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Project management experience.
